Synopsis

“Healers” investigates a profession lost in time. If one day they used to be a reference in the community when the subject was health, today healers stand outside the major urban centers and challenge the concepts of modern science. The documentary shows the efforts of this resistance in a small village called Macacos, 20 km from Belo Horizonte, where healers remain as an important alternative of treatment.
